L’Ecosse Shea Vineyard
If ever there was a Pinot Noir for Cab lovers, this could be it! A veritable “who’s who” of Oregon (and California) winemakers have been mining the Shea vineyard for years to create highly rated, highly sought after Pinots.
This 2005 single vineyard designate Pinot from L’Ecosse is rich and weighty with layers of blue and black fruit, deep earthiness with almost chewy tannins with enough structure to lay down for a good 10 years.
This new-school style Pinot from L’Ecosse should pair quite well with any type of roast, lamb, steaks and chops. However be fair warned that the L’Ecosse could almost be considered a meal in itself! And at 120 cases produced, it’s virtually guaranteed to disappear before our eyes, so don’t wait to experience this monster Willamette Valley Pinot.
