JAX Y3 Chardonnay
JAX Y3 2006 Napa Chardonnay
The 2006 Y3 Chardonnay from JAX sees no malolactic fermentation and reflects the clean, fresh acidity and wonderful finesse that one would expect from an excellent food-friendly wine. A lovely white wine with a pleasant buttery mouthfeel, not overly heavy, finishing clean and elegant. This Chardonnay will easily impress those used to spending double what it costs to enjoy this wine. Rob Hunter (former executive wine director at Sterling Vineyards) made this popular Chardonnay from top vineyard sources (Pahlmeyer, Atlas Peak) which consistently produce wines in the top shelf price range for California Chardonnays.
The Y3 name is a tribute to the proprietors’ grandparents who owned a cattle ranch in the 1960s and the Y3 symbol was their family cattle brand. Stock up on this wine and you won’t regret a single, delicious bottle.

Comtes Lafon Sancerre
2005 Comtes Lafon Sancerre – Pale golden-green. Remarkable and aromatic intensity on the nose. Floral notes of white flowers such as hawthorn, acacia, eglantine, and elderflower. This is backed up by blackcurrant buds and wild flowers. It is lively on the palette, with very pleasant acidulous characteristics prolonged by light fruity notes. Full and refreshing, it is dominated by flinty stones and chalk typical of fine Sancerre wines. WS 90 Points
